I hope that everyone enjoyed a little rest this weekend...relaxation is key in life!
:: Friday evening, Chris, Aspen and I had a date night! We enjoyed our time together. She has been working most weekend nights lately, so this was rare Friday off for her. We had dinner at Wing Stop and then we spent some time at Lowes getting things for the house. While there, we saw an adorable chihuahua dog that was with a woman in a wheelchair. She said she was a worker chihuahua, and it helped take away her anxiety. Interesting! Then we stopped at Walgreens to get a Red Box movie -- and saw a little miniature pincher in a shopping cart! It was out night for pups! We got home, made some popcorn and watched Identity Thief -- fairly funny. Some parts were real funny, the rest was so-so funny. It was a good evening together.
:: Saturday, we prepared our house for having company...Chris and Aspen worked all day in the yard -- cutting grass, planting things, etc. I ran to town to get my oil changed and pick up a few things, and then I cleaned the house. We had the group of supervisors from our company over for a get together and they arrived around 6:30. We made the main dish and everyone either brought a side dish or a dessert. It was a nice evening.
:: Sunday, we went to church and then Aspen went to a new youth group. She seemed to really like it and we are excited to see how it goes for her this year. After church, we went to finish up school clothes shopping for Aspen, but before that -- she took us to lunch at Jason's Deli and PAID! Oh, it is joyous having a working girl! We had success with the shopping, and then did the grocery shopping.
And now, we relax!!!
Please pray for Ms. Aspen as she begins her Senior Year of high school tomorrow!
