:: Well! I apologize for being M-I-A yesterday! The bullets below, I'm sure, will explain :)
:: Wednesday at work was good...Chris had the afternoon off, so once I returned to the office from lunch, he headed home in the truck (my Murano still had a dead battery). After work, he came back for me and we headed to the church to eat some dinner. It was actually quite yummy - cowboy soup, corn bread, salad, and a brownie. Can't beat it, for $3 each! After eating, we enjoyed our life group and had some interesting talks around some interesting topics. We left the church around 7:30, and from there our evening got interesting.
:: We headed to AutoZone so that we could have my car battery checked out. The guy put it on the machine so it could charge up a bit to be read. He told us to come back in thirty minutes, so we headed out to the truck. About that time, we received a phone call from Aspen. Her Jeep had died on her way to youth at the church. So, we had to go get her key, find her car, and figure out what was going on. Kim's sweet husband came to help us, since it was on their street. They got the battery jumped, but when the cables were removed the car wouldn't do anything. We finally decided to remove the battery and take it to AutoZone when we picked up my own battery. Gary helped us with that and then he headed home to await the word.
:: The good news was that MY battery was indeed bad AND it was still under warranty so we were able to get a new one for free. Yay! He hooked Aspen's battery up and determined that it was fine, but that the alternator was probably not keeping it charged. Not good news. so, we went back to the Jeep with a charged battery, put it back in with Gary's help, and Chris was able to drive it home. Oi! It was 10:00 by the time we arrived home. He put my battery in and all is good there. It's good to have my car back!!!
:: Chris was off work today, and we took the Jeep in to get fixed. Not a cheap deal by any means. The alternator, a new battery (it was, in fact, bad), and an oil change. Ching ching. But, Aspen is back in a safe car and hopefully this will be the extent of our car drama for a long while.
:: Work was fairly stressful today, and I am happy to be off work tomorrow! Chris and I both. I am hoping for a relaxing day! After work today, I was able to get my first workout of the week. Vanessa is recovering from the flu, so no Zumba -- but we had a girl step in and we did Hustle! That was very different, but I did enjoy it! Now I am home, and it is Boy's Night up in my house!! :) I actually really like having them all here...and lucky for me this week, one of the guys brought all the food! What a treat!!!!
:: That's all for me - I need to wind down a bit!!!!
