My mom called me last night, to give me the update on my grandma. She seems to have come through the surgery very well, and is now on the road to recovery. There were quite a few doctors scrubbed in, watching it all since this is such a rare condition. She'll be in the hospital for 10 days, and then will have a month more of liquid diet before she can start back on regular food.
Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers, for a speedy and full recovery. And also let's remember my grandpa, who is having a hard time dealing with the whole thing, and my aunt Karen, who finds herself responsible for everything again. Such a strong family...but they can use some good thoughts!

Best wishes going to Grandma & Grandpa. She is a tough, sweet lady and will tackle this as well. Better news...she will keep it coming.
I am glad to hear that Grandma came out of surgery well. I have been thinking about her this evening wondering how things went. I will continue to keep you family in my prayers.
