dance finale

This evening was the finale show of "So You Think You Can Dance"...wow!

Won't find out who won until next Wednesday...America had to call in tonight, and so we wait...

I was so impressed with all of them. The top 4 really did a great job. Two girls, two guys. Each girl danced with both guys, the other girl, by herself. It was very well rounded. And while I give them all credit for doing such a great job, I still have my favorites...my same favorites. Except now, only one of them can win! Which is my very favorite??

Between Ashley and Melody, I definitely like Melody better. Ashley is a fantastic dancer, but I like Melody better for a few specific reasons. 1) She is effortless. Her moves are so natural to her that it seems she isn't even trying 2) She has the graceful dancers body that looks beautiful and picturesque. Ashley is a little thicker, thus she looks "heavier", not light and airy 3) She has the "it" factor...for all of Ashley's talent, she is lacking that extra something.

Between Nick and Jamile (who by the way pulled a shocker by making it to the finale!), I definitely like Nick better. I like Nick for all of the same reasons I like Melody, listed above. Jamile is a great dancer, but is really only breathtaking when he's doing his breakdancing. The other styles of dance don't come as easily. Nick can do it all, effortlessly, and even surprised me by rockin out in an awesome hip hop routine!

Now, it gets much trickier for me when deciding between Melody and Nick. As perfect as Melody is in her technique, I think my vote goes to Nick. Watching him do his flawless series of endless turns and watching him fly across the entire stage in his leaps just makes me giddy! It never ceases to make me shake my head, watching him...remarkable.

I'll be watching next Wednesday, to see who wins the whole thing! And to see if I'm right!!!
