cooler weather

...and with that comes the desire to get new Fall / Winter clothes!

Upon taking survey of my closet, I have come to the conclusion that I don't have very many "cooler weather" options. A few long sleeve shirts, and a hodge podge of other stuff that doesn't really go together. And nothing fits right and everything is cheap and I've had it all for so long.

With the season change, wouldn't it be nice if I could have a little spree, much like "back to school" shopping? Makes me jealous, whole new wardrobes to start the year off. When is the last time any adult got an entire new wardrobe?

Of course, there's really no "extra" money for me to indulge in a mini-shopping spree. We're already in debt, things need to be done around the house, Christmas is coming up, and we are in need of sitting down to come up with a strict budget to follow.

But, a girl can dream of...

:: a new black suit to replace the cheap-ass one I got at Sears years ago. It looks cheap, it feels cheap, and it's starting to nub up

:: a few new skirts in black and maybe a few funky patterns

:: a nice pair of gray pants that make me look long and lean and are just the right length to wear with heels

:: a few new shirts and sweaters to replace ill-fitting styles that I currently own

:: a new pair of sexy black high heel boots

:: a tailored jacket to wear with work clothes on a chilly day (not a blazer, which I'm not a fan of!)...I alternate between wanting one in black or khaki that will go with everything and one that is funky and cool with a fun pattern

:: the ever-elusive handbag that is big enough for all of my crap but doesn't look like I'm carrying a tote bag...that has sections inside to keep things organized...that has handles instead of straps...that goes with whatever I'm wearing so it would probably have to be black

Oh, being strapped for cash is no fun at all! I may have to take a serious inventory and decide just a few little things to buy from the list to upgrade the wardrobe. A few things are probably doable...winning the lottery sure would be nice!

Amen sista!! Wouldn't it be great if WE got a "back to school budget" as well!! I think we should budget for that next year!!!

I hope your able to get a few things to add to your wardrobe.

I completely understand!! I'm still wearing most of the same old junk I wore when you were here! And last winter, right before I returned from maternity leave, I decided to purge my closet. Now I sorely miss those things I deemed unsuitable!!!
