There's nothing like the feeling of completing a big organizational project!
This weekend, I decided to burn all of our photos onto cds. Mind you, that is a TON of pictures, because we are picture taking fools. I set about the task of going through all of them, deleting the blurry or awful ones, and making sure they were all where they needed to be. And then I burned them to cds, three total. Not too bad, I thought our pictures would take up at least five cds!
The best part? I'm beginning 2006 with a clean slate...empty folders to put our new 2006 photos in. And at the end of the year, I can burn them to a cd and start fresh again! I love it when a plan comes together!
Some other things accomplished over my four day weekend:
:: completely reorganized my closet, including the new addition of my jewelry board (scroll down a few posts!)
:: Chris began painting the actual kitchen cabinets (he's almost done with the doors, but couldn't work on them because it was too windy outside)...wow, does the white look awesome! Helped him peel off all the old cabinet liners so we can put new ones down.
:: Completed a logo design and emailed the proof to the client (note to self...I will NOT accept another logo job...I promise!)
:: Cleaned the house, did the laundry, and grocery shopped
:: Took all of the Christmas decorations down, whew I'm glad!
:: Made a mean pot of chili
:: Spent my Christmas gift cards (items to be showcased in a future post!)
:: Filed AND painted my nails (clear) to begin 2006 Intention #1 (scroll down a few posts if you missed those!)
Now here's the question: how on earth does one meditate?????? That is part of my 2006 Intention #3, and I sat there today just totally clueless. Fill me in, people! Mom, you should have some words of advise on this one!

Yeah for you on getting all of those tasks done over the long weekend! I am very proud of you! Love the new banner a well! :)
I'm so jealous of all your organizing that you got accomplished!!! Those are many of the things I wish to do, but it's so hard with a little one...not that I'd trade her for all the organization in the world!! Love the jewelry board in the closet, very nice indeed.
Hope your head is OK!!!
Yeah I love the jewellery board idea. What a fantastic idea, I always struggle to find places to keep the jewellery I make. I might have to invest in one! The photo organisation is one I am yet to do. I am so scared this computer is going to crash and I will lose all of my pics. I love your new banner too. Still have no idea how to do one. Re meditation- I learnt it at woodford (read my blog) and im still clueless...it did nothing for me!
