Every woman has a story...
I saw this phrase in a magazine ad awhile back, and it's been with me ever since. It has really made me stop, think. You've got to love inspiration like that!
Have you ever thought about YOUR story? Those bits and pieces that make up the YOU that you are today? Every story is unique. Completely, 100% unique. Only you own your story...
The things you've accomplished...the mistakes you've made...the people you've loved...the feelings you've felt...the things you've regretted...the way your childhood was...so many things go into who you are. Your story is made up of so much LIFE. Life that you and you alone have lived.
If you were telling your life story to someone, what details would you include? Would you neglect to tell a few things? Would you take a stark, honest look at the life you've led up to this point, and say THIS is who I am...THIS is what I have done...
This is something I'm mulling around in my head...I'm forming a creative idea, I'm wanting to get my life story down into a scrapbook. I'm wanting to have an album that is 100% me. Something that will remain when I am gone, something that will give a total feeling of who I am. Every story is special. Every story deserves to be told. The good AND the bad. Because we are made up of BOTH. Life isn't sugarcoated. Sometimes life plain sucks. I believe those moments should be in there too.
There are things in my head that only I know. I want to get those down on paper...this will be a project that I embrace...Kelley's Story...

This is very interesting indeed! I do want to record things about myself. I want my grandchildren, etc. to be able to know who I really was, not just see me as an old lady who bakes cakes for them and gives them treats!
It's sort of along the same lines as my writing letters to Ashleigh, to let her know exactly how I feel at this time. I want her to know how motherhood felt for me and also how much I love her, no matter what. I think I need to pour that same kind of dedication into some scrapbooking about myself.
I LOVE this idea! I think this is something that we all should do. After hearing you talk about it I have started jotting stuff down and have really enjoyed the process. Thanks for the inspiration!
That is awesome. I do think about this quite a bit. And I also have an album...but it is very slow going.
