As I mentioned, I attended a two-day scrapbook retreat this weekend...wow, I had a great time! I love my scrapbook group!
It was held at Kim's house, and everyone pitched in for games and prizes and food. Janet made a kick-ass chili, and Gary, Kim's husband, made some awesome fajitas. Yum-o! The chocolate pizza I had planned to make was a complete bust in my oven, as I had to throw it all out. My entire oven was a mass of smoke! Not sure what went wrong, but a trip to the grocery store was forced into my morning agend!
Had 20 pages preplanned to work on, and got 12 of them done. Not too shabby. Of course, this still leaves me behind Ms. Dronda (PTS) for the year, but that's okay...plenty of time left!
Wanted to share 8 of my 12 pages with you here. Most of the designs are loose scraplifts of basic page design...I wanted to concentrate on getting stuff done, and not on creating original masterpieces! I also dug deep into my pictures and discovered that I only have a handful of pics left to scrap for 2003 (my first year with Chris)...so I want to get those done, then work on completing 2004 pictures. I am not a chronological scrapper, but I do like my albums to be chronological. And as it is now, I have to keep moving everything around when I get new pages done. So I'd like to get 2003 and 2004 set in place. Once and for all! :)
This is a loose scraplift of Jamie Watters...and the journaling was from a blog entry awhile back. A 2003 picture of me. (Warning...mostly what is left of 2003 are pictures of me! I don't typically do these many pages of myself!)
I just kind of went with this one...loved these two ribbons and wanted to use a lot of it! And have had this wonderful quote forever and finally decided to use it. Photo is courtesy of Dronda, from our recent trip to St. Louis/Thanksgiving 2005.
This is a loose scraplift of Maria Grace. Love her!! Another 2003 photo. Journaling from a blog entry.
Another 2003 photo, of Little Man. Love this ribbon too. And am liking the big photo corners lately.
More 2003 pictures. Goofing off in a tree! Just a simple layout, and am glad I got to use my monogram finally.
Yes, another 2003 pic of me. Chris used to take a ton of pictures of me, back in the beginning. Obviously, that has died off! This is a loose scraplift of CK's Tracy White.
The last of 2003's Little Man pictures. He is always falling out of his dog bed, which we call "tubed out"...this picture cracks me up! The layout is my own, but I used a premade page kit. All I added was the photo, letter stickers, and the polka dot ribbons.
Not too pleased with the way this one turned out, but I can call it done at least. A 2003 pic of Aspen in her pj's with the feather trim. She loved those things! "Froofy" is one of my favorite words, so thought it a good title. This is a loose scraplift of Amy Lowe, but it's not speaking to me...
All that's left now, from 2003, is the Christmas photos. Then done!! Woo hoo!
Hope the weekend was good to you!!!

I had a wonderful time at the retreat as well! I am so proud of you for getting so many pages completed! I didn't get to see some of those so it was a nice surprise today to see what you had created. You have once again done a fabulous job on these layouts! Get those 2003-2004 last pictures done, it will be a great feeling!
Why didn't you share all your layouts?!?
The ones you did were very nice though! I should really do more "me" pages. I'll put that on my very long to-do list...
I got 4 pages done, except for journaling on the 4th one, and three more planned out. That's something, I suppose!
Glad you had a great, fun & productive weekend.
Love them all. They're all beautiful.
The second one is my fav :)
You rock girl ~ the layouts are very good. Not sure I can pick a favorite but I do like the BE one. I got 6 pages done this weekend ~ game still on!
