house stuff

Today, right after work, we met with the builder to discuss the cabinet stain. She showed us how much lighter the painter can "probably" take the stain. It can get to a point where it nearly matches the sample we have. The walls are painted now, and the cabinets don't look nearly as dark as they did against the start white wall. Our tile is also in, and she's going to bring a handful out to the house tomorrow and we're going to look at it against the stain and the wall. And I'll decide from there.

As for the stone...she tells me that once the stonework is all completed, they do something called "acidize" on it all, and that apparently brings out the color in the stone more. So we shall see.

And this evening, we had to go and pick out our lighting. Let's just say we got to Lowe's around 7:00, and we only picked out half the stuff we needed!!! I'll be heading back tomorrow, after I get Chris safely home from his oral surgery appointment. Picking this stuff out is difficult. Either too much to choose from or not enough. All different finishes. Oi.

I'm off of work on Wednesday, for Chris' surgery. Think of him as he has his wisdom teeth pulled!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying some prayers that everything with the house works out like the builder is saying it will!!! I remember picking all those lights out.. it did take forever!

I will certainly be thinking about Chris today!

See you tonight at Bunko

Sorry to hear about him needing oral surgery. I dread getting my wisdom teeth pulled out, but the dentist assures me that it will eventually have to be done. I'll certianly be thinking of him.
I hope that everything goes well with the cabinets and the stone. I'm sure it will turn out better!
Good luck picking out your stuff too. I know how hard it is!
