my #1 pet peeve

First, a photo of our new black granite countertops...they look sharp! I think it will be very nice when they get them all done...

And now...probably my biggest pet peeve. The one thing that drives me absolutely crazy.

For some people, they may get disgruntled when the toothpaste isn't squeezed from the bottom. Or if the toilet paper isn't replaced. Me, my pet peeve is water.

Half empty water bottles, that is. My fridge (which already doesn't have any room in it) is over run by the dang things. Nobody seems to ever finish a bottle of water. They drink half, put the rest in the fridge for "later" and then come back later and get a brand new bottle instead of finishing the one they already opened.

On Sunday, I cleaned out the fridge before I grocery shopped. Emptied it all out except for one 1/2 empty bottle. A sign of relief. I swear to you, by that evening, there were SIX half empty bottles in there!!! I gathered them all up and yipped to Chris and Aspen about it. Not even one day had gone by and look at this!!!!

They just laugh at me. Oi.

Tonight, I got home from getting my nails done and picking up Subway for dinner. Went about changing clothes, etc. Chris and Aspen got home from bball practice, and I started setting things out for dinner. We were all standing in the kitchen talking, and I pulled open the fridge to pour some tea. And this is what I saw:

Oh, they think they are so funny!! They were all a fit of giggles over this one!!

SEVEN half empty bottles!!!! Just for the "fun" of it!!! I can just see them plotting this before they left for practice, and it makes me smile. SEVEN water bottles, however, does not!!!!

What's a girl to do??????

I'm right there with ya' on the 1/2 empty bottles. Although I'm guilty of putting my 1/2 a bottle back in the fridge every once in a while, it's usually Jake that does it. I've started taking the bottles and combining them to make one or two full bottles. :) Doesn't stop him from drinking half of the newly filled bottle and putting it back in the fridge, though. LOL!!! :)

Chris and Aspen are funny! :) hehe!

You could always dump those bottles over their heads! I think that would bother me too. I generally switch between two water bottles, so I don't leave them in long.
Got to admit, that was amusing...
