today's list

:: Busy day of printing/folding at work. It's the end of our bi-monthly schedule, and the company newsletter that I design is due to mail out. We print about 1100 newsletters, and it takes a good deal of time to print them, send them through our machine that folds and staple stitches them, send them through the machine that prints the address on them, and tab them for mailing. Quite the process. I was able to get about half of it printed today, and will finish up tomorrow.

:: Preferrably by 2:00 pm, so that I can leave work early because...

:: This weekend is the Tournament of Champions soccer tournament in Dallas! It should be a great weekend. Hopefully the girls will play very well, and we can progress to Sunday games. Cross your fingers for us! We need to leave early on Friday afternoon so we can get to Dallas to check the team in by a certain time. And then the fun begins!

:: I've been doing some online Christmas shopping lately, and the packages are starting to arrive! What fun!!

:: Don't think I mentioned that I got my hair cut...last week, I just got to the point where I felt overwhelmed and suffocated by my very long hair. I decided it was time to chop it off. For one thing, I rarely ever wore it down. It was always pulled up into my signature bun, and though that was always very professional, I realized I was being lazy and that it wasn't always as attractive as it could be! I told Mimi to chop about 4 - 5 inches off, and boy, does it feel better! Looks healthy and lovely. It's blunt cut, right below my shoulders. And this week, I've worn it down to work 3 out of 4 days. That's truly something for me. Nobody recognized me when I walked in, they were so used to the bun!

:: Pork chops, mashed potatoes, and broccoli with cheese for dinner tonight. It seems to always get rave reviews from the family...

:: Please keep my friend Kim, and her family, in your thoughts. Her step mom is having some horrible health issue and is going through dialysis at the moment as they try to figure out why her kidneys are failing. Scary stuff...my heart goes out to the family...

:: Friday is Pay Day!!!! Ahhhhh. If only we had a few more Pay Days thrown into the year. Especially around Christmas!!!!!

:: Why is it that men's toys are always so expensive?? Chris rattled off his "wish list" to me the other day, and almost everything on the list is over $100. A lot of the items were much more. He and I are so opposite when it comes to that kind of thing. I can be thrilled to death with 10 cheap things, and he wants the big things. That is what makes buying gifts for him so difficult. I don't have hundreds and hundreds of dollars to spend on gifts. The money I make is pretty much not in his league! So, the gifts I'm able to buy him are not what he wishes for, and I always feel like I've disappointed him. On the opposite end of the spectrum, he is able to buy more lavish gifts for me, and does so frequently. All things that I absolutely love, but I could be just as happy with much less and with cheaper items. It's a very uneven playing field, and I always end up feeling like I just haven't been able to satisfy. I know...boo hoo.

:: At any rate...I'm going to start dinner now so we can eat before I take Aspen to basketball practice at 8:00. Toodles!
