I saw this on another blog today, and thought I'd give it a go. The challenge will be coming up with 16 :)
1. I have a hard time remembering how old I am. Most of the time I think I'm 33...I even told my doctor I was 33 when he asked, and when he went to enter it in his system, he kindly informed me that no, I was only 32. Look at me, being younger!
2. I love roller coasters. The big ones, the ones that go upside down, the ones that go backwards, the ones the drop from high altitudes, the ones where your feet dangle. Love love love the rush. I can not, however, do anything that spins. Ug. Put me in a little teacup that you spin yourself with the wheel in the middle, and I'm dying to get out.
3. I will not eat asparagus, cooked cabbage, brussel sprouts, walnuts, or pecans. I'm pretty much open to anything else, as long as it isn't spicy.
4. In high school, I was a high jumper. One day I just tried it, and turned out I was okay at it. I did awesome at my first track meet. Everyone was so impressed! But then it turned out, the more I practiced, the worse I got. Not sure why.
5. When I was growing up, we had an english cocker spaniel named Sheeba. My step dad Pat used to put her toy up on the ceiling fan and Sheeba would watch it go round and round and round. Then I went away to college and my mom gave her away to another family without even telling me! Just came home and she was gone! Thanks mom!
6. I type quite fast, with all fingers on the proper keys and without looking at the keyboard. I amaze Aspen every time! My high school typing class was probably the most useful class I took...
7. I have huge calves. Thanks to my dad (who had very large calves) and my mom (who also has large calves), the combo did me in. Add to that all my years of dance class, and I'm doomed. My high school gym teacher actually called me "Calves." I've been traumatized ever since.
8. When I was in high school, I had a Coke Classic and a snack bag of chili cheese fritos for lunch every single day. Oh yes, the lunch of champions. Someone from such horrible eating origins has turned into a Clean Eater, whoever would have guessed.
9. I took Spanish in 8th grade, and French in high school. I also took French all through my college years, where we had to do a lot of speaking and writing. To this day, the only french word I remember is bouillabaisse, which is fish soup. Not a lot of use for that word.
10. In college, I took a figure drawing class. Such an awkward experience, let me tell you. We had a female and a male, and they would take turns. To draw them, you had to really study them, and you can imagine how crazy it was to then run into these students out on the campus! My grandma was always terrified that I would need money one day and decide to be a nude model. She always sent me a little cash here and there, to prevent that from ever becoming a reality!
11. I used to sport some serious "mall bangs" back in the day. I would say they were a good 4 inches tall. Stiff as a board. Why on earth did we all think we looked so good?
12. I have lived in four states...had nine jobs...attended ten schools...
13. When I was growing up, my grandparents gave me a jar of dill pickles every year for Easter, instead of an Easter basket full of candy. Because I'm a huge pickle lover. Not sweet pickles though. Yuck.
14. I do not watch the news, read the newspaper, etc. I hate hearing about all the bad stuff going on in the world. It's hard enough to keep an upbeat, positive attitude without bombarding myself with negativity. If something big is going on, I'll hear about it somewhere...
15. I think I'm allergic to tequilla. I love margaritas, but I can't drink them...because when I do, my nose becomes a faucet and I become extremely snotty. And then the sneezing begins. It's quite sad, because I love the taste.
16. I did not start cooking until I was 23...I had no idea what I was doing, because growing up, I had no desire to learn. I'm happy to say, almost 10 years later, that I turned out to be a pretty decent cook. It makes me sad though, because my step dad Pat was an amazing cook...and now he is gone and I will never know some of his recipes. I could have learned so much from him...
So, there you go...maybe you know a little more about me than you did before?

I really enjoyed this post! :) I think I've heard a lot of it before, but it is always fun reading it again. I'll have to try and do this kind of post!
I AM NOT A BAD MOTHER FOR GIVING SHEEBA TO A FAMILY ON A FARM WHERE SHE COULD RUN AND PLAY WITH KIDS INSTEAD OF SITTING IN THE HOUSE FOR 14 HOURS A DAY ALONE. IT WAS ABOUT THE DOG, NOT ABOUT YOU!!
AND BOUILLABAISSE???? MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!
Teacup - with you there! Maisie just got me on one last year and my eyes were closed the whole time!!! And then sick as a dog the rest of the day! Fun to hear some of the other things. And yes, Pat was an amazing cook...and storyteller!
