january's third weekend

:: I enjoyed way too many treats this weekend...and even saying that, I didn't have the one treat that I was really wanting. :( I had some delicious thin crust pepperoni pizza on Friday evening, and enjoyed some buttery popcorn at the movies on Saturday. Ate half the bag there, and then finished the bag on Sunday for lunch. It was all tasty, I guess. What I was really wanting was some Moose Tracks ice cream from Walgreens. But alas, Chris drove right on past the store last night on the way home, and claims that I will "thank him later." Hmph.

:: Which brings me to the upcoming week. I am going to have one treat, tops. One of my goals for 09 is to limit it to one treat per week and I've not been doing great on that. The weekend tends to bring around a few treats. I want to have one week where I can say I was nearly perfect. Just one week! And then we'll go from there.

:: We saw Seven Pounds (the one with Will Smith) on Saturday...very interesting movie. Chris and I both thought it was very good. It's sad and intriguing and brings up a lot of deep questions. I'm glad we saw it.

:: Friday night, when we were leaving the restaurant and heading to Chris Lexus, a car was parked next to him. Now, he parks out in the middle of nowhere so that no other cars get near him. But, here's this car right next to him. And as we are getting closer to the car, two guys in their 20s get out of that car. And they are talking to each other and start toward Chris' car, admiring it. I just smiled, knowing this would totally make Chris' day! Chris said in a deep voice, "Don't touch the car." The boys whipped around, and then realized he was joking. They started telling him how nice the car was. Oh, boys and their cars...

:: I am super proud of Chris!! One of his goals for 2009 is to read 5 books. This may not seem like a big deal, but he does NOT read. Anything. Reading a magazine has always taken him forever. He's just never liked to read. And always makes fun of me for reading so much. Well...he's already finished one book!!! And has begun his second book. And with this second book, I keep finding him reading at the oddest times, and just have to smile...the story is capturing his attention, and he can't stay away!!! Now I'm going to have to start stealing his book mark and hiding it...he always steals mine, and it's time for some turnabout :)

:: Chris and I did 15 miles today...whew, I'm pooped! He ran and I rode my bike...we did some hills...the weather was nice. Chilly but sunny and not too much wind. Took us a little under two hours.

Another weekend draws to a close, and I need to finish up some things for the upcoming week...make it a happy one!!

Oh no!! You didn’t get your moose track ice-cream? I know you were really wanting some of it. Chris should thank you for not hurting him for not getting it! Lol That is to funny those guys were checking out the Lexus. Got to love it! Yeah for Chris reading! And I love that he hides your book marker… Time to get him back, I’d say!
