marriage lesson 101

So, yesterday I mentioned that I came home on Saturday evening to find Chris setting up our new Wii system...earlier that day, while he and Aspen were out picking up said Wii, he also shared some very insightful "marriage advice" with Aspen...it was so good I just had to share it here with you!

He said something along these lines: "Aspen, when you grow up and get married (long after you have graduated from college and have started your successful career), there might come a time in your marriage where you want to buy something that your spouse doesn't necessarily want to buy. At these times, it is always a smart idea to go home and do some cleaning around the house before you break the news of your purchase to your spouse. They can't get too upset with you, because you've done this nice thing for them too!"

:) ha!

This totally cracked me up! And not only did he tell her this, but he, in fact, came home and did some cleaning around the house! Almost all of my chores from Sunday, done! I guess he's got my number, because it really did do the trick!

You may also want to post about how Aspen then turned around and used this "marriage lesson" on the both of us the following day when she wanted to go to the movies with her friend.
