monday monday monday

:: Today I had another dermatology procedure done, this one called a Mohs surgery. After numbing the cheekbone area with two shots (not pleasant but not awful), the doctor came in and took the first layer. It went immediately to the lab and microscope on site while I waited in the waiting room with a huge gauze on my face. Verdict...didn't get it all, and had to repeat the procedure once more. After the second round, the doctor feels sure he got all of it. He had to take a bit more of the area to provide a proper shape for sutures, so that the scar wouldn't pucker...he feels confident that once it completely heals in a few months, it will only be a thin white line. He showed me the stitches, and the area is a bit bigger than I anticipated...it probably measures about an inch in length in a crescent along my cheekbone. I get to remove the gauze and bandage tomorrow morning, and then am not supposed to rebandage it. So I will go a week with knarly stitches until they remove them on Monday. Hopefully this will be the last of this...

:: This evening, I did the third installment of the Jackie Warner workout dvd...the core workout (abs). While the first two installments rendered me super sore for days afterwards, I'm not thinking the core workout will do the same. It was difficult, but I don't feel like I'll be whimpering in pain :)

:: Last night, I ordered the last of my black scrapbook albums and all of the page protectors I will need to get all my layouts converted to this new system for display. Very very excited! It took some searching to find it all, because my site is currently out of both. I had to order from two different sites, but am looking forward to receiving them and getting that all done. Yippie!!!

:: Dancing with the Stars was interesting this evening...and I thought Ms. Melissa did a fabulous job!! Ms. Playboy Bunny, however, was awful...how someone supposed to be "sexy" doesn't know how to move her body in a sexy way is beyond me...

:: Had a nice big salad for lunch with Kim today...I enjoy our lunches together every other week, it's always wonderful to chat with her. And this coming Saturday is the monthly crop at her house, what a grand time we shall have!

:: My face is a bit sore, and I think I will go relax for the remainder of the evening...until next time!
