Ocho is home!!
We left work at noon and were on the road to Grapevine by 1:00. Got to the surgery center right after 4:00 and talked with the vet about what we need to do with Ocho for the next little bit. Then she brought him in and it was SO GOOD TO SEE THAT SWEET FACE!!!!!
He doesn't really seem to be in any pain...I think anything he does feel is related to the surgery wounds and that is to be expected. Under his chin, along his neck/chest there, he has about a three inch wound with stitches. His chest was shaved, and is all bruised. She said that would go down in a few days. There was also a square on his side that was shaved, where they put the pain patch. So, he looks a bit awkward but we don't care!! We have to take him into the local vet in 10-14 days to have the stitches removed. And for the next six weeks, we have been tasked with keeping him calm and relaxed with no playing or running so that he can fully heal. That isn't going to be easy...when he got home, he was scooting around the house like crazy! We are going to have to crate him during the day while we're at work so he doesn't get up on the furniture or slip on the tile/hardwood.
He was definitely excited to be home. We are definitely happy to have him home!!

I am so happy to hear that Ocho has made it back home! I hope he has a quick recovery, and is back to his old self in no time!
Yeah!!! I'm so glad that Mr. Ocho is home safe and sound.. and feeling much better!!! It will be difficult to keep him calm that's for sure. Glad things are going better for the little guy!
