:: I love this time change. It is so much easier waking up in the morning when light is coming through the windows! And it's much easier to get hubby up too...in fact, this morning he was up before I even went in to wake him!
:: Mimi had a good report today. Her infection level is down to 16,000 now. It should be around 10,000. It was 24,000. So better each day. He is going to have her do some breathing exercises with some contraption. Maybe a day or two more in the hospital.
:: Poppy seems to be doing a little better. She had lunch and dinner today without throwing up. That's the first time in about a week. Poor girl is looking skinny, so hopefully she is past the worst of it and is on the mend. The medicine seems to be helping.
:: Something I've been pondering: Joy is not the absence of troubles. Joy is the presence of Christ. Even in our most trying times, when we feel that life has gotten us right where we don't want to be...even then, we should be joyful because Jesus is in us. Our joy should be dependent on Him and Him only. Because the rest of life will at one point or another get us down, we can't base our joy on earthly things. This is such a hard concept to practice, because let's face it. Life sucks sometimes. There are so many things we can't control, and we just want to scream!!! But Jesus is always there, and His love is always pure. I am trying to focus on THAT joy...
