:: I have no idea how this weekend has flown by so fast! Well, really, I do because we've done a lot. But I am not ready for Monday!!
:: Friday evening, Chris and his guys took care of some things for their side job. So, I worked out and then went and browsed around Target for a bit. I bought a bunch of randomness :) Which is what Target is good for! Then the boys were back in town, and we had dinner at Red Robin with Neeley. Then rented Runner Runner with Justin Timberlake and Ben Afleck and had a movie night at home. It was average, maybe even ho hum.
:: Saturday, made a delicious breakfast, and then puttered around the house. Before lunch, we went up to the office to workout. It was way too cold and windy outside for us. After a great workout for both of us, we stopped at Sams and then came home and had lunch with Aspen. That evening, we had dinner at our friends The Gilgenbachs, and that was very nice. They made beef kabobs and roasted sweet potatoes, and I took mixed berries for dessert.
:: Sunday, Aspen and I went to church while the boys worked some more. Then I did the grocery shopping for the week, unloaded, ate lunch, did laundry and made my egg muffins for the week. They look yummy! Also planned a few other yummies. Now I am waiting for Chris to get home so we can go to our life group get together at 4:00. Not sure if they will be home in time, we shall see. Later tonight is The Walking Dead! Looking forward to a good evening.
:: How is Whole 30 going?? If you are curious, read on :) Today marks the end of week one, and things are going good. There have been a number of people in the challenge who have already dropped off. Their bodies just suffered too much shock in the first few days and did them in. There are a few of us still hanging on. I feel great, and very full. My clothes are feeling looser and I feel lighter. I look slimmer. I am interested to see how much weight is lost, at the end of the 30. I'm eating a lot of food and giving my body what it needs to work properly. And my allergies are still seeming better than normal. Still there, yes, but lesser degree. After this first week, I have not missed many things. Popcorn, almond milk. That's really about it. Though, it does take some willpower to ignore the foods I am used to -- like when Chris and Aspen are devouring some triple chocolate cake, all the junk food in the aisles of the grocery store, or not ordering my normal things in restaurants. It is doable though, and I'll be even stronger after week 2. At the end, my list (so far) of things I plan to reintroduce is pretty short -- popcorn, plain yogurt, almond milk, cheese, and dark chocolate. We'll see what else gets added along the way.

Do you remember Dianne Medley, the advertising director when you worked here? She just finished her first Whole 30 and said she feels great! She's going to give herself 2 "free days" and do it again. She has fibromyalgia and I think it's made a huge difference in her health.
