:: Friday evening, Chris and I worked out, and then headed to dinner. We went to Enchilada Express, and I had a delicious salad with chicken and avocado. It was quite difficult to resist the queso there, because it is so yummy and smelled so good. But, I prevailed!

:: Saturday, Chris had to head out to a site, so I spent the morning puttering. I had a lot of things to get in order because my retreat is this coming weekend!

It was a five-list kind of morning! The weekly to-do list, the weekly menu, the list for the retreat, the list for what errands I needed to do that morning, and the grocery list. Oh, I was in Heaven :) Once I had my lists ready, I headed out. I hit Target: lamp shades for new bedroom lamps, new tank top and hat for Aruba, new umbrella, a cute rug for the entry way (didn't end up working), other odds and ends. I hit Michaels: adhesive for upcoming retreat and some ribbon. I hit Hancock Fabrics: replacement bulb for my Ott craft lamp, as I don't want to be without it at the retreat, and you just never know. I hit the Natural Food Store: lots of goodies! I also packed everything up for the retreat!!

The base is from Lowes, and the shade is from Target. Pretty sea blue glass, and the shade is a pretty gray texture.
:: That evening, we had dinner at a new place in town -- Niko's. It was Greek food, which we have never really eaten. We tried their gyros, and they were yummy! I enjoyed the pita and the yogurt sauce as a celebration for my great January progress! And as my treat before starting Whole30 (which started today!!)

:: Afterwards, we stopped at Lowes, and then rented The Equalizer with Denzel -- it was pretty good! He is a baddie!

:: After church today, I did the grocery shopping and then laundry. Had a big Whole 30 lunch. Now, I am going to do my weekly Jams and then make the mac and cheese for the Super Bowl party this evening. Should be a fun time at Steven's -- we don't care who wins!!!

:: Oh and I am going to try making almond milk! You soak the almonds 24 hours, then grind and then drain through cheesecloth. I'm excited to see what it tastes like. The store bought almond milk is yummy but it has so many preservatives and bad stuff added to it.

Step 1: almonds in a bowl, cover with water, and soak for 24 hours!
:: Week ahead -- I have bunko on Tuesday and the retreat is this weekend! Can NOT wait!!!  I am off on Friday -- I will get Kim and we'll be there by 10:00 am. I will be home Sunday evening, and then I am off Monday too!! To recover and do laundry and grocery shop, etc :) Good week ahead!!!

:: Hope you have a great week too!!
