Catch Up!

Before I delve into multiple posts about my mom's visit to Abilene and our Mother/Daughter trip to San Antonio, I'm going to take a break and do a quick "catch up" post!

:: We have been spending lots of time in our pool! The weather is finally warmer and the water is finally getting to a comfortable temperature. It's so nice! We float on our noodles and it is so very relaxing. Loving it!

:: With our warmer temps, the huge lake of water in our front yard (from the recent rains) is finally starting to recede. The grass there is so dead. Blah! Someone did finally come out to check it out, since that first part of the yard technically belongs to the county. They are going to add in an additional culvurt under the road and try to head the water off sooner. Not sure when that will happen but we are hopeful!

:: Ocho got a little sick over the weekend. Upset belly. I took him in to the vet and it turned out to be a bacterial infection. He was given two shots that seemed to help, and now he is on antibiotics for a few days. He's back to his old self!

:: My grandparents celebrated their wedding anniversary on Monday!! 62 or 63 years (I can't remember!!) What a testimony of dedication and love and til death do us part. Thank you guys for being such an inspiration to us all these years!

:: I ask for prayers for my grandparents as well -- my grandpa is having some issues with his eyes. A hemmorage in his retina, cataracts, and glaucoma. He currently is unable to drive, and my grandma does not drive. The family is rallying around to help out. My grandma is really suffering with her arthritis, and she recently also took a tumble and has two black eyes. Please say some prayers for their health...

:: I am working to open up an Etsy shop! I have some scrapbook goodies that I am wanting to try to sell, and I can also offer graphic design or custom scrapbook services. It's taking a little time to get the shop set up and my items entered...I'll be sure to let you all know how to get to the shop once it is open! Kind of excited!

:: My boss and I were treated to lunch today by one of our very favorite vendors in town...he gave us a fun tour of their new establishment that they recently moved into, and then we enjoyed yummy food at Szcheun...it was very nice!! A vendor from Dallas is coming in on Thursday and treating me and my team to lunch too! A week of fun lunches!!

:: Saturday, I have a bridal shower to attend for my friend's daughter...that should be nice. She's a gorgeous girl and I'm very happy for her!

:: I found out today that Chris may have to go out of town a few days next week for work. Nothing is set in stone quite yet, but we shall see.

:: My asthma has been acting up lately. My asthma is allergy-related, so this must be a bad time for me. A few puffs on my inhaler and I am good as new!

:: Now that vacations and trips are over, I'm going to get back on track with my healthy lifestyle! Can't let myself slide too far because then I'm at the point of no return! Nope!!!!
