true story

Hello there!

Since I have last posted, here is what's been happening with us:

:: Over the weekend, Chris and I went to Ennis, TX for the drag races! We have been going every year for the past four years, and this is really Chris' happy place. He loves this weekend and looks so forward to it. I quite enjoy it myself...it's such a fun experience! This year, we upgraded to the Champion's Club, which got us better seats with bleacher backs, access to the Club which provided breakfast and lunch both days, as well as tea, water, lemonade, and an air conditioned room to hang out in when it got too hot outside. We really enjoyed this upgrade! The lunches both days were delicious -- catered in, and full meals. We hardly ate any junk food at all over the weekend, which is odd! We were also able to park a lot closer than usual, so that was super nice! The races were fun, and it was a relaxing two days for us. Much needed! While we were away, the puppers had fun at Mimi and Aspen's...

:: The work week has been pretty busy...today, my entire morning was taken up with a last minute VIP trip. It went well.

:: I've been enjoying the new season of tv...This is Us has been really good...and the Voice has been fun! My Netflix show, Stranger Things, has season two coming out on the 27th and I am excited for that! We also have the Walking Dead starting this coming weekend...but not sure yet how we are going to watch that.

:: Our friend, QLefty, had a pretty bad bike accident during one of his training rides...he unfortunately broke some bones in his collarbone and arm. Yikes!! We are bummed for him, especially since this takes him out of the triathlon in April...he and Chris were really excited to do the race together. We are praying for his healing, as I know it must be super painful.

:: This coming weekend, Allison is hosting the crop at her house and I plan to go for a little bit. We also need to go to Kohl's and buy Chris some new work shirts. Beyond that, he will have multiple intense workouts and we'll see what else comes along!
