i heart scrapbooking

I heart scrapbooking...in case you didn't know! :)

This past weekend was my scrapbook group's two-day "retreat"...from 10:00 on Saturday morning until 10:00 on Sunday night, we attend whenever we can. I was so pleased this time, I was able to attend both days for a good chunk of time each day. Saturday from 10 - 7, and Sunday from 10-4. Loved it! And got 12 pages done, to boot! Really can't beat that.

We played lots of games, and proposed challenges for the other scrappers to take part in. Prizes galore. Man, I came home with some loot! Ate lots of good food. Enjoyed lots of great time with my friends. Even my friend Terry, who just had major heart surgery. It was so good to spend time with her again...she's looking so good!

As usual, I thought I would share the pages I created this weekend...I had 9 personal pages, and 3 pages for the scrapbook-for-hire that I've been working on...I'm posting my personal pages now. Any feedback would be just wonderful!!

This brings my 2006 page total to 82! Moving right along!!

"what i do"
I was so happy with the way this one turned out. I got the circle idea from someone, maybe Keisha? Not positive. Loved this pink paisley paper. Loved these big pink/green letters. Loved the rick rack and the sweet pink jewels. And the picture. I totally love this picture. This is me, this is what you will always see me doing. This is me taking pictures at my mom's wedding in April...one of her coworkers captured this one of me. LOVE that it captures one of my passions. Journaling along top of picture reads, Capturing life in a 4x6 format.

"What I Wish for For You"
For some reason, I tend to lean toward blue and orange when I do a page of the two of them. Who knows why! Was happy with this one too. The left page is a loose scraplift of Tara. On the right page, I hope that Chris will cooperate and write a few of his wishes for Aspen on the striped paper. And now, I must brag! I am so excited! I have finally sewn on my pages! Kim let me borrow her sewing machine, and she gave me a little tutorial. I loved it! Am going to have to save my pennies for a cheap sewing machine, just for scrapbooking! If you'll look on this layout, you'll see the sewing along the top of the white tag, and then along the blue ribbon on the bottom of the journal block.

"thank you"
Dronda sent me this great picture of Fonda and Clarence, and I couldn't wait to do this page of them. I've wanted to do a page saying this for some time. Journaling along bottom reads Thank You "for showing me an example of true, patient, everlasting love..."

"roxy"
Had fun scrapping this adorable picture of my mom's puppy...just a simple one, but really like it. And sewed on this one too! All around the edges of the patterned paper!

"precious...love...admire"
More blue and orange for them! Another simple one, but liked it. Love these pictures...

Love all of these. I really like the way you finished the one of Fonda and Clarence. Love it! And you didn't have the "precious Love Admire" one finished at the crop, I really like how it turned out as well!

And you may scrap Chris and Aspen in Blue and Orange, But DAMN you do it good!

The layout of you Doing what you do.. LOVE that someone got a photo of this! Really love the way the layout turned out also.

You did a fantastic job once again. I had a wonderful time this weekend and SO glad you were able to come both days for as long as you did! Great times.

These are so awesome! I think the circle one is my favorite as well. If you and Kim don't get me inspired, NOTHING WILL!
