young at heart

You've heard that saying I'm sure..."young at heart"...

I'm just the opposite. I'm old at heart.

I think I was born with an old soul. Seriously. I don't think that anyone who knows me would really argue with that?

When I was growing up, I was fine spending tons of time by myself. And at any sort of party situation, I always preferred being with the grown-ups, not the other kids. I always felt like I was missing out on something, when I was forced to join the other children.

I've never really been one for wrestling or playing around...or playing sports...or goofing off. I'm more grounded, more serious about everything.

I've always been drawn to older people...many of my dearest friends are years older than me.

I don't know why I bring this up, really...I don't have a point. I'm not trying to make any statement. To me, it is just who I am. I feel like I've been an adult since I was about 5. But I think that sometimes other people don't like this quality about me. They may think I'm uptight, or too serious. That I don't know how to play. That I'm not fun.

I can have an old soul and still be fun. At least I think so!

I have only known you a few years, but I can so see you having an old soul! And there isn't a thing wrong with that. I think it is really cool. And I think you can, and DO, still have fun with that old soul of yours. To those think that you are uptight and too serious. I say :)~~ pphhbbttt to them!

I can understand that feeling. I feel the same way sometimes.

You are fun, trust me! Remember those days when your face would be sore from us laughing all day long?

Now, if you can laugh all day at work, you must be a fun person!!
