:: Still feeling under the weather...sore throat...general "sicky" feeling...developing a cough...and my nose is a faucet. Even worse than normal!
:: Big Step today...Chris and I took in a rough sketch of a house plan to the builders we are thinking about using...they are sending it to their blueprint woman to work up an actual preliminary blueprint. From there, we can mark it up, change it up...and we'll have a much better idea on pricing and square footage then...we should have the prelim back late next week, hopefully...
:: Received an invitation in the mail today for my co-workers wedding...I've been looking forward to seeing it, since she chose to not have me design them. I was thinking they'd be some spectaclar piece, something unique and with some WOW power to it. The envelope was huge, probably 8x8 square. And inside...your typical wedding invitation. Off-white, with embossed pearly border, brown script wording. Nothing wrong with it, but totally not what I was expecting. A bit of a let-down, knowing what I would've been able to create for her. But...not my wedding!
:: For said co-worker, I'm going to a wedding shower this evening. I'm looking forward to it, though I wish I was feeling a bit better. It's a "gift card" shower, so a lot of thought didn't have to go into the gift...
:: Tomorrow is finally FRIDAY!! One thing I'm excited about is that we're having our monthly employee luncheon. And I'm excited because we're having thin crust pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut (the closest thing here in Abilene to cracker-thin St. Louis pizza) and some Mexican ice cream fruit bars. I'm going to pig out baby!
:: My friend and co-worker Laura told me today that I have a classic beauty...like Audrey Hepburn! I thought that was very sweet of her...especially when I'm sick and have lost my color and have bags under my eyes!
:: Still waiting on our Jack Hanna picture...
:: This weekend is the Balloon Fest...I'll try, again, to get some Balloon Glow pictures. They're never able to get the balloons up because of the wind here. So every year, I'm disappointed. Hopefully this year!!!! We'll try on Friday evening...and then Saturday morning, Chris is running in a 5k race. Will be fun to see him face a shorter distance...
:: Off to paint my toenails...and then to the shower!

Taking the drawing to the builder is a huge step. a Fun one from what I remember, but huge! That is great. Things are moving right along.
You luncheon sounds perfect. Eat up!
That is interesting about the invitations. I would have thought she would have gone way over the top with something? Just think, you didn't have to have the headache added on to what you are already dealing with right now! :) (Her loss indeed!)
Maybe we will run into you guys at the balloon fest tonight! Here's hoping they will actually get to do the balloon glow this time! I've seen it once, but that's it.

New house! Very exciting stuff, for sure.
So sorry you're feeling bad; and from the sounds of it, I'm catching the same thing. But considering the miles between Greenwood Springs and Abilene, I'm sure it's not your fault!
You are so funny about that thin crust pizza! I love the crust. But I love any kind of pizza, really.
Hope the balloon fest goes well. I'd love to go to one someday. I think they have one a few hours from here, I'll have to check into it.
A gift card shower, huh? That's interesting. Never heard of that.
