mr. venable

It was one of those mornings...

You know the kind...running late for work because the dog peed on the floor and I had to clean it up...and it wasn't even the puppy, it was the 7 year old dog...and then after finally getting dressed, Ocho decided he didn't want to be rounded up and put into his crate so I had that frustration to deal with as well...

And then got to work and had to make a phone call, which left me frustrated too. I hung up, saying, "Okay, I'm ready to go back to bed now."

Twenty minutes later, our mail guy drops a big envelope on my desk...it's from my mom, and I wrack my brain trying to figure out why she'd be mailing me something. Don't remember her mentioning anything...

So, I tear into it...and it isn't from my mom after all. It's from her sweet new hubby. Inside is a gift for me, along with a handwritten note.

It said: Hey Kelley...I saw this shirt and thought of you. Your mom says hi. RSV

Hmm...

I opened the package, and inside I found this:

I laughed and laughed! How perfect! How wonderful! How sweet! Just exactly what I needed to get my day back on the right track.

My mom has a keeper in Randy, that's for sure! Thank you, Mr. Venable!!! :)

How sweet is that!!! I love it. I haven't met Randy (yet) but I have to agree from the things I've heard, he is indeed a keeper!

That is so sweet! I'm so glad your Mom met him; she deserves to have a great man.
