Our weekend was good...full...productive...fun...busy busy...
Saturday was the monthly crop, held at Kim's this month. She was a gracious hostess, of course...and on top of that, it was her actual birthday too!! So that was fun. I didn't take any pages to work on, but enjoyed the nice, relaxing day. Worked on picking out layouts for the pictures I have to scrap. And we gave the birthday girls their gifts...and in honor of Kim's birthday, have to share this one:

Oh, she's going to kill me for that one!! :) We all had a hoot of a time with them posing with these gifts over their boobies...I know...it's the simple things...

I left the crop around 3:30 or so, and then Chris and I took Ocho in to PetSmart to have his nails trimmed and filed. I've tried to do this myself, and it's near impossible. For one, his nails are black and I can't see the quick. And two, he will not stay still and I'm afraid I'm going to cut them too short with all his squirming. This was his first trip to PetSmart, and he did well. We walked up and down some aisles, and then he walked on his leash out to the car. He did good! He wasn't so sure about this girl and what she was doing to him though! If you'll notice his ears...we call them horizontal ears...usually, they are standing straight up at attention, but if he's scared, or tired, he gets horizontal ears...poor pup!
And this weekend, we looked at some houses that are being built by a builder that we're thinking of using. The builder gave us a key to get into all of them, and Friday we went and looked through about 6 of them, all in different stages of completion. We took pictures of the aspects we like, and we're planning to draw up a very rough sketch of what we want. Then they can have a blueprint made of it, and we can see how much it will cost. This is an example of an exterior that we like. We are loving the brick/stone combo...it can be combined in so many ways, but I like this one the best...

On Saturday, we went to look at two of their houses that are completely finished, waiting to sell. It was so good to see the finished product. To see how they finish it all off. Very nice indeed. Here's an example of a finished kitchen...I love the corner pantry, the island, the bar that separates the kitchen from the living room...

And this is an example of the master bathroom that we are loving...the tub in the middle, and jack and jill closets on each side. Huge walk in closets...and the cool part is that the closets wrap around the tub, and join in the back. The wall behind the tub has a plant ledge on top, and the closet has a window in the back. So light comes into the bathroom from behind the tub...very cool feature. And lots of good storage room too!

So, there's a bit of our weekend...and what we're thinking in terms of new housing...
In terms of current housing...we are slowly getting there. We have Billy working on the cabinet doors at his house, and in the meantime we are doing the little stuff around here that we can be doing. Bought new toilet seats today. Checking stuff of the list. We most likely will not meet our goal of meeting with a realtor on October 1st...but we'll get it on the market as soon as we're able to...

Ooh, I like the tile in the bathroom - I am totally back into tile.
And man I wish I could come to your crops!
Ooooo You are SOO rotten!!!! I have to say that that picture is hilarious though! LOL
I really enjoyed my birthday. And having you guys there to celebrate with me made it even better!
The picture of Ocho is to funny! That is neat that you have figured out what his "horizontal" ears me!
I really like the pictures of the houses! That kitchen looks a lot like ours, minus the island. I LOVE having our kitchen opened up to the living area. It makes it so cozy and it isn't so bad to be in the kitchen working that way!
You will be in that new home soon! Very soon...
