What better way to start off a good update post than with a cutie picture of my cutie pup?? :)



Ocho is having some fun with all the renovations we've been doing...there's always lots of good discarded wallpaper for him to steal...I think he's addicted to the glue! And this one was classic...Chris opened up the bathroom windows to get some air flowing, and set up this little prop for Ocho...he loved it...he stood there looking out the window forever!



Everything was taped off so Jon could come in and spray texture on our walls. Once we removed the wallpaper, we only had bare drywall. The people who did the wallpapering put it directly on the drywall instead of a finished wall.



Here's our old oven that we will be replacing with a new, white one...



These orange walls will be painted red, like the other walls. The orange isn't quite so garrish in person, but it still isn't the look we were going for.



We now interupt this renovation post with a cute picture of my two favorite boys!



This is where our master bathroom toilet used to be...it had to be removed so that Jon could replace the drywall behind the toilet. That is where the majority of the termite damage was. So here we are, toilet-less and drywall-less...



And here's the new drywall...but still toilet-less, until the bathroom is painted...



This is Jon...in the middle of the very messy process of spraying texture onto our bare walls...he did a superb job of matching up with the other walls in the house that are textured. This spot that you see in the photo was actually a huge hole in the wall...he masterfully patched it up and sprayed texture over it, and you'd never know the hole was there...



And our texture...the walls look sooo much better. Chris is currently in our bedroom, putting on a coat of new paint. We'll see how we did picking out colors...another trip to Lowe's may be in our future!!!

Tonight, we'll be moving furniture out of Mimi's bedroom so that Nadene can prepare it for Jon to spray texture. Then the texture is done, and Nadene can paint. Moving right along...
