another five

:: I'm doing something fun, that I try to do every so often...back in 1998, my PTS Dronda gave me a little book called "The Wish List"...it's a neat little book that contains one long list of possible things a person can do within their lifetime. At least once a year, I try to read through this 421-page book and mark off the things that I have accomplished. Pretty cool! There are a few things listed that are obviously never going to happen, like "bobbing for apples with Tom Cruise"...ha! But it is fun to see what I have already marked off, and even more fun to find a new one that I can mark off!!! Once I make it through this reading, I thought I would post a list of the new stuff I was able to add...so that will be coming. But, I did want to share one with you that was just wonderful!!! GO ON SABBATICAL. Yup, marked that one off, hooray!!! :) It isn't one that I ever imagined I would be able to mark off, that's for sure. I want Chris to go through it to because there are a lot of things that he has done in there...like "run the Boston marathon" and "attend a church service in Africa". I'm not sure if Dronda realized how much I would actually enjoy this book, or if she thought 12 years after the fact I would still be going through it...but that's a darn good gift! :)

:: Survivor started tonight...ho hum. Same ole same ole same ole. I feel pretty much done with tv in general. I've got my recordings of Friends and that's all I need!

:: Chris bought the new Linkin Park cd yesterday! We were so excited...and then we weren't. I've only listened through twice, but can't say I'm loving it. It is a totally different sound for them, the lead singer Chester is playing a lesser part, and it's a lot of beats. Kind of bizarre. They are an amazing band and it's sad that they're straying so far from what made them famous. I'm not a big fan of screaming music, but even I would like a little more Chester screaming than this cd offered.

:: P90X is going great!! I'm on Day 10, and haven't been too sore this week. That's a good sign. I will see this through all 90 days 100%. First time I can say that!

:: My mom is coming to visit soon and I am so excited!!!!! We all are, actually. She'll be coming into town on September 30 and staying until October 5. I will take off work and thouroughly enjoy my time with her. Can't wait. My coworkers and boss are excited to see her and get hugs, and I am looking forward to introducing her to my new friends/coworkers Kathy and Faith too...

You are right I never would have guessed that book had taken the course that it has. I am so excited that you review it each and every year. And more importantly update it. Can't wait to see some of the updates. Funny you mention it as I am reading a page a day of the Pooh book you gave me. After the initial skimming/looking when I got it from you I'm now seeing how it relates to my life. It's just that it's in Pooh language & believe it or not that is language I can relate to!
