happy labor day 2010

Happy Labor Day!! In the spirit of a relaxing day off from work, Ocho is enjoying a nice sunbeam and taking a snooze! :) Wish I was too!

This morning marked Day 1 of our P90X adventure! Whew. We did chest and shoulders today, along with ab ripper. It was about an hour and a half of torture. Rough stuff. Can't wait to see what 90 straight days of this stuff will do to my body!!! Tomorrow we'll be getting up early to continue on with Day 2...

We met with the builder today to hash out some stuff and ask some questions. He's a nice guy and the plan is pretty much our "dream house". So we'll see what the bank lady tells us on what we are "approved" for...and of course, waiting on the house to sell. We had an Open House on Sunday, and twelve people came through. So we were pleased with that. Hopefully someone will buy it soon!!!

Aspen's first high school cross country meet is this coming Saturday, here in town. We are looking forward to watching her!

On Sunday, I did another photo shoot! I am thinking I may need to create a loose pricing structure and start charging a bit. I truly love to take photos, and if I can make a little side money doing something I am passionate about, I think that would be cool! This photo shoot was for a coworker, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend's little 4 year old cutie. They didn't seem to be a long-haul subject, meaning they were almost ready to go after I snapped the first few pics. I was able to get some cute ones though, so I hope they'll be happy!!

I'm also entering the scrapbook I did for our wedding into the state fair! :) I've never done this before. Meaning the state fair, but also meaning I've never really entered my work into a competition. I did try a few times for the Hall of Fame contest through a magazine, but nothing local certainly. We shall see how it goes. I have no idea what prizes are or anything, or what kind of work I'll be up against. I'll keep you posted. Kind of exciting though.

Time for some relaxation...ahhhhh! I love a day off work!
