On Saturday, Chris and I did 10 miles...(him running, me on the bike)...I am happy to report that the weather was much cooler and I had a happy ten miles. No near-black out spells for me!

At the top of one hill, we enjoyed a highlight!! We have named him Ernest...



You may recall that I really enjoy donkeys...I've taken photos of them before. Spotting livestock on my rides brings me joy!! On this particular ride, we spotted FOUR donkeys! That is a first. Ernest was the first one we saw, and he trotted right on over to the fence. So we stopped and talked to him, and he seemed nice, so we even petted him! I have never pet a donkey before, I have always heard that they are mean animals. He really loved us, and next time we go that way I am going to take him some carrots!!! :)

We were so entralled with Ernest, we went back later that afternoon to get these photos...

Maybe one day, if we ever move to the country, I can get my very own donkey!! ;)
