mom's visit

::It's been so nice having mom here in Texas! We are having a good, relaxing visit...

:: Monday, we met some of my coworkers for lunch at TaMolleys...mom was able to meet Kathy and Faith, and she already loves Victor...we had a fun time!! From there, we bummed around town and hit some of the little shops. Then grilled some hamburgers for dinner and enjoyed Dancing with the Stars...

:: Tuesday morning, I worked from 8:00 - noon...then mom and I headed to Szchuan's for delicious chinese food. We pigged out, it was so good! From there, we shopped around Target for a bit and then we went to see the house that we've based our future home's blueprints on. She really loved it, and we are all excited to get moving on that project. Gotta sell our house first. We've done a lot of magazine reading and chatting and relaxing, and that is certainly nice...and this evening, we took a long walk around the neighborhood with Ocho, and got some good fresh air!

:: Tomorrow, we are having lunch at a litte cafe downtown called Hickory Street Cafe, and will possibly go to the zoo...I haven't been to our zoo in years and mom has never been to this one. We'd also like to catch a movie while she is here, but there isn't really much out there worth seeing right now unfortunately. We shall see...

:: Chris returns home on Thursday afternoon, I miss him! Looking forward to his return...

:: P90X Week 4 is under way and is kicking my butt. Lots of yoga and core work this week, and this new core workout is so hard!! And I have to do it again later in the week. Oi. I was disgruntled because when I weighed this morning I was one pound MORE than when I STARTED. Blah! I know I know...muscle weighs more than fat. Blah blah. I'm sticking with it though!!
