weekend happenings

Loved this sky over the lake...

:: Friday evening, Chris and I enjoyed a nice evening out together...we ate at Famous Daves and then enjoyed a walk around the park. We are trying to be good and save some money, so we headed home after that! :)

:: Saturday was Aspen's second high school cross county meet and she did much better. We aren't sure of her place, but we think it was maybe 11th or 12th. Her time was much better. She had a great start, and put forth a good amount of effort throughout the two miles. She's not where she used to be or where she needs to be, but it was good to see the effort being made. There was none of that at the first meet.

:: Saturday we cleaned all day and Chris worked on the yard...and then we made steak/baked potato/roasted squash for dinner. The steak was pretty tough, must've been an iffy cut of meat. But we still enjoyed it.

:: Sunday, we had an Open House from 2:00 - 4:00...a handful of couples came through. Our realtor claims that everyone loves it, thinks it's been staged because it's so nice, and blah blah blah...but then no one even has their own house on the market. So I guess we shall see. No one has looked at the house in two weeks, until today. Not much action going on around here it seems...

:: I did buy a few new pair of Nike shorts...since I'm working out every day, I realized I didn't have enough to get me through. I got some cute hot pink ones, and some cute blue ones...Week Two of P90X is complete and I am feeling great!!! Ready for Week Three tomorrow!!!
