:: Tomorrow, at work, we are having our annual Halloween costume contest and pumpkin carving contest. They do the costume judging two ways...prizes for top three individual costumes, and prizes for top three department costumes. For the first time ever, my department has decided to dress up together under one theme! Should be interesting! I will show pictures after tomorrow, but am not saying what our theme is quite yet. I'm not entirely thrilled with how my costume turned out. Hopefully tomorrow it will be better when I do it "full out".
:: I'm really enjoying the new Sugarland cd...there are three songs that I don't really like much, but the rest are pretty good. It received some bad reviews, about how their sound was becoming too much like "anthems", but I thought their sound was pretty right on with their past work. I can see where they might think the anthem thing, but that is how their sound has always been. Chris hates them. He said, "I like the songs where the man sings"...which is practically none of them :) ha!
:: I learned how to curl my hair is a flat iron today...pretty interesting technique, and neat results. I watched some videos on youtube.com, you'd be surprised how many there are!
:: Chris and I are currently on a "My Name is Earl" kick...we've never really watched it before, so don't really know the whole story. But Jamie Presley cracks me up on there. The way she talks kills me. Anyone out there know the show history??
:: Made delicious pork chops this evening with rice pilaf with dried cranberries and almonds, and steamed broccoli. It was quite delish if I do say so myself!!!!
