weekend update

:: Friday evening, we had dinner at Cotton Patch and had our favorite waiter, Patrick. He took good care of us! And then after that, we went home...it had been a long week!!

:: Saturday was the monthly crop at Kim's house, and it was an enjoyable day indeed! I had to get creative, because all of my scrapbook stuff is packed and in storage! I am really starting to miss is!!!! But, my mom had mentioned to me that she wants a red scarf, so I started knitting that. Eight hours of knitting kind of cramped up my fingers and made my back sore, so I had to take frequent breaks! I chatted a lot and looked through some magazines. It was a nice day! And I'm about halfway done with my mom's scarf. Our retreat is coming up in February, so that is three days to fill. I plan to finish the scarf, and work on entering all of my recipes into my new software. I also have photos to size and color correct. So, still no scrapping, but plenty to keep me busy!

:: Saturday evening, we had a delicious BBQ dinner at Sharon's, and then had a quiet evening...

:: Today, we went to our Spiritual Disciplines class and then to church...and then Chris and I had some decisions to make. We decided on stone and brick and shingles and trim color. So that should be that. Also went out to see the house progress. Looks like the roof is framed now, so they should be able to get it all closed in this week maybe. It's fun to watch the progress!

:: I'm feeling much better with just a little crud hanging on. I should be good to begin my P90X in the morning, fingers crossed. Maui is fast approaching...that bikini isn't going to look good all by itself...

Hey Kelley! Just wanted to let you know I read your blog often and really enjoy your updates. (I'm Kim's friend, by the way!)

Anyway, I was reading one of your posts here awhile back about the books you read during 2010 and I, too, had read some of the same books and enjoyed them immensely. For example, I read: Wild at Heart and Captivating by the Elderedges but hadn't yet read Love and War. After reading that you had read it and enjoyed it, I, too, read it and LOVED it! I have since gone back to read Captivating again too! Thanks for sharing!

Can't wait to hopefully meet you this summer when we visit Miss Kim and Kelsey!
