:: In random discussion last night, Chris mentioned that he since he started running (back in 2007 I believe), he has run over 6000 miles. Sounds crazy, doesn't it? Even crazier when you think of it this way: in 6000 miles, he could have run cross country from New York to LA at least twice. He's insane :)
:: I've been hitting the treadmill pretty hard, trying to get the cardio going to lose some weight for Operation Maui Bikini. It's wearing me out! But hopefully I will see some results.
:: I did a little side job and should be getting paid soon...and I have plans to buy some cute sundresses/shorts for Maui...I already bought one adorable sundress from J. Crew when we were in Houston. LOVE it, it's supremely soft tshirt material in layers of ruffles, in a soft navy blue. I plan to get a lot of wear out of this one. Which is good, because it was not cheap. :) Now I can find some cheap ones at Target...
:: My sweet hubby surprised me with a great gift over the weekend!!! A few months back, during a 5:30 a.m. workout on the treadmill in the garage, I was watching infomercials on the tv in there. They were advertising The Ninja! Wow, it was impressive! I told him all about it, and then when he went into Bed Bath and Beyond to pick up some Kcups of tea, he came out with a huge bag. And inside was The Ninja!! (and some Kcups, ha!). Have you seen this thing? It's a blender, chopper, and food processor all in one. It blends ice so well that it is like snow cone ice. Yum! The key to why this is such a neat tool is the blade design. With a normal blender, the blade is at the bottom of the pitcher and everything gets stuck and it's annoying. With The Ninja, there are blades up and down a rod inside the pitcher, so there is even blending throughout. Genius!!! Here's the link, check it out! I've made two yummy smoothies so far, and Chris has made a delicious salsa...we'll use this thing like crazy! Thanks to my hubby for the wonderful gift, I am so excited!
