introducing poppy

This is Poppy. She's a cutie, no? :)

Sunday, after church, we decided to go out to the Abilene flea market...and we came home with a chihuahua! We had been talking about how Ocho seems a little lonely now with Little Man and Foster gone. We wondered how he would do with a playmate, since he is our "baby" and rules the roost. We didn't exactly plan on getting another dog on this specific day, but we met her and thought she was the one...



We brought her home this afternoon and introduced her to Ocho...they've done really well together so far. Ocho hasn't ever been around a female dog, and he was drooling uncontrollably for awhile. But, they've sniffed each other out and have played together inside and out. I think they are going to enjoy one another once Poppy gets settled in.

So far, she is pretty timid and skittish...she's 3 months old, so she was pretty used to her litter mates and her breeder. It will just take her a little time to get used to us and our home...

She was born on 12-19-10, and has a pretty dark brown coloring. Her eyes are a gorgeous green color. I can't wait to watch her personality emerge...

So, puppyhood at the Baber household begins again...we shall see how it goes!!
