Ms. Poppy went to meet Dr. Bolt today...Ocho tried to warn her about Dr. Bolt's big country boy hands, but she had to go nonetheless. She knew something was up this morning, because I didn't give her breakfast. She was quite miffed about that, because this puppy girl loves to eat! And when I put her in the car, she really knew. She must've been nervous because she ended up throwing up on our ride to the vet's office. I didn't have anything with me in the car, so I cupped my hand and she threw up in it. Better than on my work clothes! That was an interesting ride to work for sure. Once at the vet, when I handed her over to the vet's assistant, she peed all over her. Poppy was not a happy girl! It seems the spay surgery went well, and when I picked her up I was told that she had gotten a little "upset" with the assistant...not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound good. :) I was able to go back and get her out of the cage, and she was very scared. Now she has to take it easy and she seems to be in a little pain. Will give her her pain pill right before bed and hopefully she'll sleep ok. Poor pup...think of her!
