This is a handmade iron piece that will be attached to the glass portion of the wine room door...so pleased with how it turned out!
The black metal vent hood over the stove...not quite complete, they will add black swirl supports underneath. Love this...
And the beginnings of the travertine tile...this section is in the dining area. Lots and lots of tile to do, so this will be a long phase.
Our weekend was pretty good, for the most part. Friday was Mimi's 61st birthday, and unfortunatly it wasn't the best day. Instead of having a birthday dinner at Red Lobster like we normally do, she decided she wanted a greasy burger from Mr. Burger and some greasy Lay chips. So, we changed the plan and got that and ate ate home. Chris and Aspen got into a bit of an argument that overshadowed the celebration, so it wasn't a proper welcome to #61 for Mimi. Luckily, we all woke up to a new day on Saturday, and things are back on track.
Saturday, I spent some birthday money (thank you granny and gramps!!!) on a few last minute things for Maui. I got this tank top and this tank top at Express, and bought a Kindle book (The Help) for reading on the plane. Bought a few magazines and now I am all set to go!! Just need to get packed up.
I had a horrible horrible eating day on Saturday and felt downright ill by the time the evening arrived. I definitely feel much better when I eat properly. 8 pounds down, two more to go this last week before we head out.
We work Thursday and then head to Dallas that evening to stay at the Dallas Westin...then up early Friday morning and on the 10:50 flight to Maui!!!!! Can NOT wait!!!!
