i enjoy the weekends so

:: Another busy, fun weekend for us...hope yours was good too!

:: Friday evening, the three of us had a delicious dinner at Szcheun's...yum!

:: Saturday morning, Chris and I woke up earlier than normal so we could get our ride/run in before it got too hot. With 100 degree temps, I am very primed for heat strokes. We did 14 miles, and it was better getting it done early. Hot and windy, but I kept pouring water over my arms and that seemed to keep me cooler.

:: Saturday afternoon, we went to a neighborhood party! There are about 15 -20 houses in our country subdivision, and this is the first "block party" they have had. It was a get-to-meet-your-neighbor party, and we had a good time. Almost everyone showed up, and we have a wide range of ages. We stayed for about three hours.

:: Saturday evening, we worked on clearing out the third garage (progress made but whew...so much left to do there)...then we came in and had a movie night in our awesome media room! Popcorn and all, from our old fashioned popcorn machine.

:: Today, Chris left for a work conference in Nashville...so we have a few days to fill without him. After I grocery shopped, I came home, started some laundry, and proceeded directly to my scrapbook room! Besides a quick dinner, this is where I have been playing all day and I am a happy girl!!! The June crop is coming up and I am working on preplanning some pages so I can actually scrapbook at it! So excited!

:: Tomorrow, I will be getting back 100% to my no-sugar regimen. Hawaii was supposed to be a "week of sugar"...well, this shows you just how addictive that crap is. The little white powder that is just as addictive as the other white powder, cocaine! I have allowed myself to have things that I wouldn't normally, all this time since the end of April. I have to say, I am feeling tired most of the time, and very very hungry. Sugar makes your energy rise and fall dramatically, and it also makes you super hungry and wanting MORE SUGAR. I bought myself a Dr. Pepper and am enjoying it today...and then that is that. No more starting tomorrow.

Let's all have a great week!!
