insane week ends

:: Well, my long, crazy busy week is officially over. Whew. I am pooped. It was all mostly good stuff though, and no complaints here.

:: Friday evening...Aspen went to the football game, and Chris and Neeley had catfish together. I worked at the Christmas in November booth with Kim until 9:00. It was very busy that evening, but seemed most people were just looking, not buying.

:: Saturday, I woke up early and went to do my walk/run. Then Aspen and I went to Christmas in November and shopped the booths. There was not a ton of stuff there that I wanted to buy, but did get a wall decoration and a cute shirt. Aspen bought a few necklaces. Then we worked the booth with Kim and had fun fun with her. Worked until 5:00 and then headed home. Chris and Aspen had a date night together -- they went to dinner at Red Lobster, did a little shopping, and then went to see a scary movie. That left me to a good evening with myself -- I had popcorn and wine for dinner, finished my book, caught up on three episodes of The Voice, and snuggled with Poppy. It was lovely, until I got a little snotty and had to take a benedryl. Went to bed and didn't even hear Chris come in -- and apparently both of the dogs were barking like crazy!

:: Sunday, did my walk/run again, and then headed to church. After a very interesting sermon (more on that in a minute), Aspen and I had lunch at Subway and then headed back to the booth. Worked until 5:00 with Kim, and then helped them dismantle the booth and get everything packed up. A full weekend.  And you know what? I didn't sell one stinking thing. Not a scarf and not a little scrapbook. Hardly anyone even looked at them. Oh well. I will give a few away, keep a few for myself, and try to sell some at work maybe.

:: So, here is what we learned at church today -- when we die, we are torn into two. Our spirit (soul) goes to Heaven to be with God, while our body stays here on Earth and is buried or cremated. We will not be complete in Heaven until Jesus comes back to Earth. At that time, those who have already died will rise up and ascend to Heaven to be reunited with their spirit, and then those who are still alive will rise up after that. Neither Chris nor I had ever heard this before. Have you?? I'd love to hear what you know, if so...

:: Okay, time to relax a bit. Need to unwind from this insane week! Busy week ahead too, getting ready for my day off Friday (scrapbook event in Dallas) and then our week long trip to St. Louis for Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!
