monday of short week

:: Hi there...another Monday. They do come around fast. Thankful thankful thankful for the short week ahead!!! We'll be off work on Thursday, July 4th! Yay! BUT! Our wonderful CEO Kris decided to gift us with an extra holiday off this year! I've been there 11 years and don't remember him ever doing this before, so we were all shocked and super excited! So, we'll be off on Friday, July 5th as well!!!Four day weekend in my very near future.

:: Today was kind of a weird day. I took care of some lingering odds and ends this morning. And had to take Ocho to the vet. He's been off the last few days. It went in waves, where he'd be fine and then he'd be in pain and drawn up. On Sunday, he spent most of the day hiding under Mimi's bed. Left work at 3:30 and took him to see Dr. Bolt. Turns out he has a bacterial infection in his small bowels, and some meds should clear it up. He got three shots and off we went. I also asked him about the heart murmur that the emergency vet heard, and he didn't hear anything. He thinks it might have been from the stress of the scorpion sting that caused it. He'll keep an eye on it.

:: After that, I ran some errands, and then picked Chris up and came home to run. Look how cute I am...post workout crazy hair and red sweaty face!

:: Had to miss zumba because of the vet and errands, but I'll be going Wednesday. I love zumba! Didn't get to weigh in today either. Will do that tomorrow and see how my numbers are looking. I had a pretty good weekend food-wise, so I just have to keep it going!!

:: Weather was in the 80s today, so very nice! I think I might need to go relax out in my hammock for a bit and enjoy it before the 100s return. Yes? Yes.

:: Tonight I made some chicken fried chicken (more meat from that guy) and this was pretty good we all agreed. So it is not all lost. Tomorrow I am making rib eye steaks. Actually, Chris will be, since we're grilling them. We are not meat cookers, so this should be interesting. Want to marinade them in something, will have to google. :) Or comment here if you have a super recipe to share, we could use the help!
