long weekend

Oh blessed long holiday weekend! I love three day weekends!!! Today is Sunday and it truly excited me to know I have one more day in the weekend. I love my job, but I love my down time too. A typical weekend, Saturday is full of errands and Sunday is full of chores. With three days, it feels totally different. We actually feel like we can relax and that is nice.

Friday evening, we had dinner with Aspen at Blue Taco and then she went to the first football game of the season. We went and looked around at Hobby Hobby, Mardel and Hastings...

Saturday, Chris and I did a 6 mile ride/run...then I piddled around in my scrapbook room all day! Loved that!! Chris worked on his wine and piddled around too. So nice! Then, Aspen got home from work and she and I went shopping for a bit. I found a sweater (black and white) at Express and spent some of my gift card. I also spent my $20 Kohl's cash on a Vera Wang tshirt (can't find online, sorry) and drop earrings. And then found some oxford shoes at Dillards on a big sale! (the shoes are those colors, but mine do NOT have all those gold stud things - ick!) I have been looking for those and was very excited.

After our shopping, Aspen went to a country dance with her mom and brother, and Chris and I had our August date night! We went to dinner at the Bee Hive (hellllo yummy filet) and then we went to the drive in movies! I have not been to the drive in here, and really am not sure if I have ever been at all before. Maybe when I was little? We saw We're the Millers and it was FUNNY! We really had a great time, what a fun date!!

Sunday, church was awesome!! Afterwards, Chris and I went to Lowes and did the grocery shopping, and Aspen went to work. Then we tried something new for dinner and oh my it was yummy! Grilled cheese, but we used goat cheese and bacon! Chris had jalapenos on his and I added apricot preserves to mine. So delicious!!!!!

And now, I am going to do more stuff in my scrapbook room! And tomorrow tooooooo!!!! :)
