I had an eye appointment at 9:30, so I didn't get to sleep in too much -- but, enjoyed a relaxing bit of time with a cup of tea before I had to leave. My eyes are good, and then I went to a store downtown to buy a birthday gift for a friend. Then, home and I ordered my contact lenses online. I watched my recording of Jennifer Nettles singing her new song on Jay Leno. Love her, but the new song isn't my favorite. I hope the rest of her solo cd speaks to me a little more. After that, I have spent the afternoon watching Gray's Anatomy, Friends, and Reba...and I decided to start a Week in the Life album.
A few girls in my scrapbook group are doing a Project Life album, which is a 2 page scrapbook layout for each week. It deals more with everyday details -- capturing everyday life. I have been interested in doing one as well, but watching them made me realize how time intensive it is. And they always seem to be behind. I don't print my photos out very often (I wait until I have a big batch), so I would always be behind. That is not something I would enjoy! So, today it hit me that I could do a digital album. Then I could use the digital files (mostly from my phone) and simply upload them to the website and place them in the book each week. Quick journaling and done. That is way more my style and I certainly think I can keep up with that.
I spent my day creating the book on Winkflash, and have the entire book designed and layed out now. Everything is ready, I just have to upload the photos and plug them in. I have made this super easy for myself and I can't wait to see how it turns out!! This will be a snapshot of the next 49 weeks. So almost a full year. If I like this process and project, I might just continue on from there and begin a second book.

| Above is the first page of my album -- the orange section will show through an opening in the hard cover of the book. It's called Week in the Life -- this is an Ali Edwards concept. You can see the colors that will be used throughout, along the strip underneath. Green, orange, fushia, purple, turquoise. |
