:: Sunday evening...it's always sad to see the weekend coming to an end.
:: We had a good weekend though, and hope you did too! Friday evening, Chris and I had dinner at Wing Stop and then bummed around at the mall for a bit. It was nice to just hang out together.
:: Saturday, we headed to Dallas to attend the first conference of the Heavenly Bridge Ministry, which is the ministry that our Ugandan friend Moses has just started. There were a number of great speakers on different topics, a very nice lunch, worship music, and even a few dance performances! It was a very uplifting day, and Moses even presented Chris (along with others) a certificate for being a supporter of Uganda. Moses told the story, too, about how Chris felt a connection with one of the Ugandan girls, and how we support her now -- she has had three successful surgeries from our donations, along with her dad being able to put a roof on the house they've been building for years. God is good!!!! We bought a beautiful painting during their auction too, it is of two Ugandan women dancing in worship...
:: After the conference ended at 4:00, we headed to a big mall in Dallas and walked around. Then we had sushi at Wasabi and it was absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, and then had a three hour drive home.
:: Sunday, we went to a great church service, went to our leadership class, and then got busy doing chores. And now we are waiting for Aspen to get home from work so that we can watch the new episode of The Walking Dead!!!
