i love weekends

:: A good weekend here in the Baber household...hope you had a good one too!

:: Friday evening, we met Aspen at Wing Stop for dinner, which was nice...then she went off to the last home football game, and Chris and I went to Mardel and then rented "Olympus Has Fallen" to watch at home. That movie was intense, and very disheartening...man was it easy for the White House to be taken over. Scary. It was a  good movie though...

:: Saturday morning, Aspen and I went to an Arbonne party at a coworker's house. We did facials, learned about the products, and ate yummy food. We really enjoyed ourselves, and I will be hosting a party soon for Laura. She is just starting out and hoping to make it her full time job, so I thought I would support her.
:: After the party, Aspen and I went to the Christmas Carousel at the Civic Center -- she bought a cute dress and I bought a headband...but overall, I was disappointed it in. I didn't really think there was much there to buy at all. Which is good, since I don't care to be spending any money! We stopped at Target, then headed home so Aspen could get ready for her evening shift at Olive Garden.

:: Chris and I had dinner at the new Denny's in town...we love iHop but ours in town is awful...Denny's has been open less than a year, and we finally decided to try it out. It was a much better experience. We grocery shopped and then headed home.

:: Church was amazing this morning! The sermon was about repentance and was filled with so many practical points. Then Chris came home to run 13 miles, while Aspen went to youth and I went to our leadership class. That was also filled with a lot of good nuggets, learning so much. My little brain is full.

:: At 2:30, we met up with the Halfmann clan for our annual photo shoot! Of course, today was quite chilly, and it was the windiest day we have had in windy Abilene in a few weeks. Of course! Needless to say, my hair is not down in the photos :) Oh well. The pics on our camera are good, and I can't wait to see tomorrow how the ones on Kim's camera turned out. I am confident we will have some great ones to choose from for the Christmas card. This was our TENTH year with this tradition...so very grateful to have these amazing friends in our life!
