chris' marathon

This weekend was the Oklahome City Marathon...Chris' first marathon ever! It was quite a weekend. Quite an experience. More to come tomorrow, as I've been up since 4:30 a.m. this morning, didn't get home until 6:30 p.m. this evening, and have been busy unpacking, grocery shopping, etc.

I am so proud of this man! Let's leave it at that tonight...here's a picture overview of the marathon...

Chris, Alvino, and Alvino's brother Carlos...before the marathon, around 6:00 a.m.

Chris running at the 12th mile...said "This is too easy...", knowing that he would eat those words later...

Chris coming through the finish line shoot, it was obvious he was hurting! He didn't walk once...and he had a fabulous first marathon time of 3 hours, 47 minutes!!

This was when I first spotted Chris after he finished. He was unable to speak at this time.

Trying to stretch, but his muscles were way too tight.

A closeup of his cool medal...

Chris and Alvino after the race...so proud of these two!

Join me in congratulating Chris on a job well done and a goal successfully attained! It was so inspiring to watch!

More details tomorrow...
