Sometimes, life just throws us cruel curveballs, doesn't it?
It was like 107 degrees here in Texas today. Miserable heat. Nearly unbearable. Any time spent outside leaves you soaked, crabby, and sweaty.
That's bad enough on its own, right? Then life smirks at you and says, oh no! There's more to endure!
Our air conditioner froze up on us again this afternoon. 107 degrees and no air. It was about 84 degrees inside when we got home, and now, at 9:30 pm, it's at 90. Walking from outside into our house provides zero relief. We are sweating in our home. We are going to have to sleep in this sweaty state.
Tomorrow we will have someone come out to repair the switch to the outside fan on the conditioner unit...and if that doesn't solve the problem, I don't see how we are going to escape buying a new unit altogether. Which we do not have the money for.
Which will set us farther back on our road to finacial freedom. I think we are doomed to never be free...
Sometimes, life just sucks.
{edited to add: while Chris went running, and I sat in my scrapbook room sweating to death, I decided to call the air condition company to just check and see if there was an extra charge for after-hours service calls. And I was very surprised to find out that there were no extra charges. Same price. So I told them to not pass GO and get over there directly. So glad I called and we were able to get it fixed last night instead of suffering through the night. You know it's bad when the dogs are panting! So all is fixed, and we're just out a little more money. Hopefully this repair will last us for awhile...}

Yuck yuck yuck!! I hate that your still having AC problems! I'm glad however that you decided to call and see if they charged extra for late hours. YEAH that you got it fixed and were able to sleep with out sweating all night!
