I've got that little flutter in the pit of my stomach...the flutter that tells me good things are on the horizon, that good changes are coming our way. That little flutter of excitement and nervousness all rolled into one...
The idea of selling our house and moving into a brand new one thrills me!
We're meeting with a builder Wednesday at 5:30. Of all the new housing developments in our town, these are the houses that I like the best. This is the neighborhood that I like the best. So it will be interesting to see the inside of these houses...
We want to narrow down our options, but the first thing we'll be doing: getting our current house ready to sell. We need to walk around the house and start making a list of all the stuff that needs to be done. Because we want to make a nice profit on this adventure.
One thing we're trying to figure out...how to time the sale of the house with moving into a brand new house. Anyone have any advice on that??? We're uncomfortable beginning the building until the house is sold. Because it could possibly take awhile to sell. And we can't afford to make two house payments. It may come down to us selling the house, and then moving into a rental until the house is built. It seems safer that way, to us.
It's nervewracking to think about...but also very very exciting! I'm looking forward to our meeting with the builder tomorrow...I'll be back with a full report!!

I am so excited for you guys as well! Even though Chris doesn't want to move "within a rocks throw distance" of my house. (for some selfish reason, I'm sure!) The area you guys are looking in is so nice. I love that little spot. AND it is closer to me then you currently are! I will soon be making plans on how I can make a direct road from our house to that area and be there in 10.2 seconds flat!
Oh, I'm so excited for you guys! (I mean ya'll!)
Even though we've been in our house for 3 years and didn't get a brand new one, there are still days when I come up the drive and just think "Wow, I'm so happy this is MY home."
And this will be especially exciting because it will be your first house together, you know?
I am jealous, however, that you are moving closer to Kim rather than closer to me. ; ) Oh well, I guess I'll just have to deal, huh?
Exciting news!
