I am so dang excited!!!
After almost FOUR whole years without my family or friends coming to visit me here in Abilene, I am getting a visitor in September!!! I can not tell you how happy this makes me...
It has bummed me out to think that the road from here to St. Louis was only a one-way road...I make it a point to go home every year at least once. Usually Thanksgiving or Christmas. If I wasn't making those trips, I'd never see my family or friends from home.
So this feels like a huge thing to me. This visitor is really making my heart sing with happiness!
My visitor will be none other than my sweet Part-Time Sister (otherwise known as PTS)...Dronda...someone who has known me since I was a little baby...someone who used to babysit me...someone who taught me so much growing up...someone who watched me go through so many awkward phases...someone who loves scrapbooking just as much as I do...someone with a pure heart...someone who I am looking very, very forward to spending a few glorious days with!!!
She will be arriving in our little city on Thursday, September 14th...I'll be taking a half day off work to pick her up from the airport. I'll be taking Friday, the 15th off as well. A whole day with just the two of us! Again, soooo excited! She'll be staying with us through Sunday, the 17th.
Four days with my PTS. I. Can't. Wait.
Thank you, Dronda, for making this trip down...it means a whole, whole lot to me...

yeah!!! I am glad to hear that the road does go both ways between here and there! :)
I can't wait to meet Dronda!! It will be wonderful to have her here in our neck of the woods.
I am sooo excited! In 2 weeks I'll be there and can't wait to spend some quality time with ya'all!
