catching up in photos

It's been awhile since I've shared some photos...so here's a little update, told through pictures...

It's getting colder in Abilene...and my tiny pup is shivering all the time. So, I had to get him a sweater. Not because I want to dress him up, but because he needs it to stay warm. He has absolutely no fat. For his first one, I went with a very subtle navy blue that blends in with his black fur...you hardly know he has it on!

I must admit, he does look adorable in it...and he doesn't seem to mind it one bit. I think since he's used to wearing his Puppia harness, this doesn't feel much different!

House We're Going to Build: we've turned the blueprints back in and are waiting for the next round. And the elevation drawing, which will show us how the front of the house will look. Exciting stuff!!! Here is Chris on the lot we are 99% sure we're going to build on...

Kind of a crazy feeling to stand there and think, "This is where our house will be..."

House We're Trying to Sell: we've found a realtor, who happens to have a very close relationship with our builders. We think that is a good connection. She gave us some feedback when we met with her, and one thing she thought we should change is the entry way tile. We had thought about it and decided not to, but we agree with her. So it's being done...here's the before picture...

Can you say 80s??? It's really pretty gross...

So, here's where Chris has started removing the tile. A messy, time consuming project...and then Billy will come over and put the new tile in. It will update the look a whole lot...

Here's the current picture of our kitchen. At one point, for painting the walls red, all of the white was taped off. Now it's the opposite...all of the red is taped off so Jon can come in and re-spray the cabinets white. We also went in to Cabinet Tech today and ordered new cabinet doors. Billy is having an awful time redoing the doors, so it will be much more cost effective in the long run to just buy new doors. They should be ready in about 5 business days, and then they can be painted and installed. Woo hoo! I am soooo ready for that project to be done. Our kitchen will look weird with doors, since I've lived without them for so long now!! This picture also shows the new black fan that we had Billy install...much more updated look.

Here I am, sanding the kitchen cabinets. Very dirty work. Gets in your eyes. Gets in your lungs. Gets everywhere and is very hard to clean up. It's taking awhile to do this step...Jon is supposed to spray them tomorrow, but don't know if they'll be ready or not...

Our realtor, Teri, says that we should plan to put the house on the market the day that our slab for the new house is poured. So, we figure that gives us about a month. Lots to do...

And here's a good one to end with...my sweetie...love him to pieces!!!

Loved the photo post. :) I love Ocho's new digs. It certainly doesn't look like it bothers him to wear it at all!

You will get that house work done soon.. Just keep looking at how far you've already come!!

What a sweet little puppy!!

As for all the house stuff, I am SO impressed with you guys. I've been keeping Kenneth updated (and of course he looks at your blog too) and we both feel like if we did all that work, we'd just stay where we were! We're just lazy like that. I think it's going to be wonderful for you and Chris to build a house together.
